I did't find in the recipe the amount of cardamom you used, and if it has to be ground of whole.

Great idea with the cardamom. I also love that it's so simple to mix and all in one bowl. I'm way overdue to make a carrot cake - thanks for the reminder.

The orange is so appropriate for fall, and even though I am not too fond of carrots, carrot cake has been one of my favorite desserts. My boyfriend's mom makes a version with grated zucchini and adds some golden raisins + cranberries. All the flavors really complement the carrot and walnut well!

Actually no, you didn't forget the cream cheese frosting. I actually like yours because there's no cream cheese frosting. It's lighter and you can focus on the carrot flavor.

And thank you. :)

I think I have one of those photos of my blog that they are way too bright. I actually love the idea of getting to know traditional cuisines because those have been around for such a long time but in a way that once you've learned this traditional recipe, you can incorporate it into your own without making a confusing recipe. The cardamom gives it an exotic taste. Your is healthier than the traditional carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.
